The problem

Meat, chicken and eggs were bought daily from different suppliers, and the kitchen had no way to know what each dish actually used.

What we built

Purchases are recorded by type, inventory is tracked down to each menu item, and the point of sale prints 80 mm receipts and controls opening and closing the register.

Inside

  • Purchasing by type: meat, chicken, eggs and goods
  • Supplier records
  • Inventory per product and per menu item
  • Point of sale with 80 mm receipt printing
  • Register opening and closing

Results

10 min
to close the register, down from about 60 minutes
~15%
less food waste
~5 hrs
of administrative work saved per week

Now I can see exactly how much chicken, meat, eggs and other ingredients we purchase and use. Closing the register takes minutes instead of almost an hour with a calculator.
